Educational Scholarship Program
Objective and Intent of the Scholarship Program
The Virginia National Guard Association scholarship program provides financial assistance directly to member officers, warrant officers and their dependent children and spouses. Scholarships are awarded on a yearly basis, and individuals are encouraged to apply annually. Applications must be submitted by 30 September each year. The association currently offers two special scholarships to honor previous association members; the CW4 William C. Singletary Scholarship and the Colonel Joseph “Ed” Galloway Scholarship. The amount and number of scholarships awarded each year will be determined by the Scholarship Committee subject to the resources available and with approval of the association’s Executive Council.
